Volunteer
Welcome, and Thank You for Your Interest in Volunteering!
Rainbow Youth Theatre has always been about more than just putting on a show. It’s about building a community, a family, where young people grow in confidence, creativity, and connection. Behind every production is a team of dedicated volunteers who make the magic happen. From costumes and sets to ticket sales and backstage support, it truly takes a village.
RYT is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization, and we simply couldn’t do this without people like you. Over the years, we’ve had parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbours, and brilliant, big-hearted members of the community step forward to lend their time and talents. Whether it’s sewing costumes late into the night, painting sets on a Saturday morning, or helping kids stay focused backstage, the impact of that support is felt in every corner of the theatre.
The love people have for RYT runs deep, not just because of the shows, but because of the people it brings together and the memories it creates. Volunteering here means becoming part of something bigger. A team that believes in the power of the arts, in lifting one another up, and in building something meaningful together.
Not Sure Where to Start? That’s Okay!
So, you know you want to volunteer somehow, but you’re not exactly sure what that looks like. We’re here to help. Whether you already know what you’re excited to help with or you’re still figuring it out, we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
If you have experience, amazing. We’d love to put your skills to good use. And if you don’t, that’s totally fine. We can teach you what you need to know. There’s absolutely no pressure to be an expert. Just a willingness to jump in and be part of something fun and meaningful.
There’s a place for everyone at RYT, and we’re happy to help you find yours.
