OUR TEAM

Katie clarkson
President

Katie’s love of theatre began at six years old with RYT and has taken her from Vancouver Island to the UAE, working with young performers and creating stories for stage and screen. In 2018, she started a local acting studio, where she taught youth theatre and film before passing the torch to focus full-time on her photography business and creative work. Her projects have spanned short films, international collaborations, and community arts initiatives. Now, as RYT’s President, Katie is focused on growing the company, honoring its legacy, and creating new opportunities for the next generation of performers.

ALYSSA MOORES
VICE PRESIDENT

As a Rainbow Youth Theatre alum, Alyssa is thrilled to be part of RYT’s revival and to help inspire the next generation of theatre lovers. Her passion began in 2006 with RYT’s Charlotte’s Web, and she’s been hooked ever since. Alyssa hopes every participant in RYT feels the same wonder, connection, and accomplishment that made her fall in love with theatre all those years ago. Grateful to give back to the organization that sparked her passion, Alyssa is excited to help create a space where young artists can grow, express themselves, and discover the magic of live performance.

CHRISTINE CARSON
Treasurer

Christine has always loved theatre – from the as a 6 year-old when she walked down to her local venue to see “The King and I”, clutching her father’s hand, through high school and community theatre experiences growing up, to becoming her daughter’s biggest supporter when she took to the stage after the family settled here in Comox. Now she applies her experience in administering youth activities to Rainbow, a theatre company that provided her child with many happy opportunities. Programming joy onstage for a new generation of theatre lovers!

KATHY TRITHARDT
SECRETARY

Kathy Trithardt spent all of her teen years either on stage, backstage, in tech booths, or dangling on rigging, waiting for her big entrance. As an aspiring world traveler, Kathy has led various tours in Scotland, performed in the world's largest neo-pagan fire festival, and is an alumni of Atomic Vaudeville. She routinely reads around 200 books a year, and has discussed well over a thousand titles on her BookTube channel. Her other non-theatre hobby is cross stitching.
