The July 1st Parade and RYT!
On Tuesday, July 1st RYT will have a float in the Canada Day Parade. Our float will focus on our summer production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. There will be an organized group of Joseph cast showcasing some Joseph music and themes but there is an opportunity for other interested RYT members to "bookend" the float and carry the RYT banner and signage. An insurance waiver form must be signed before children can take part.
More information will be circulated through our membership database. Specific rendezvous information will also be emailed to RYT members. Generally we "martial" (or gather) on Fifth Street, six blocks up from Fitzgerald about 9 am. Again we will be emailing detailed information out later in the week. Parents must be at the end of the parade route down near the Courtenay Rec Centre to collect their children as we finish our walk down 5th Street.
RYT’S 20 YEAR REVUE
RYT is presenting a nostalgic look-back at the twenty years of Rainbow theatre this summer. Carol Coulson, one of the founding members of RYT, and a seasoned director, will be back to pull together many of our “fondest memories” for a casual, summer-night's dream of a show that will enchant RYT members and audiences alike.

BETTY DIXON MEMORIAL BURSARY
Each year, Rainbow Youth Theatre presents the Betty Dixon Memorial Bursary to a Rainbow member graduating from Grade 12.
Rainbow Youth Theatre is proud to present the 2008 Betty Dixon Memorial Bursary to Millie Dee Miller of Highland Secondary School. Millie has been an active member of RYT performing on-stage and behind the scenes. This fall she will be attending Malaspina University College focusing on theatre and we wish her the best of luck! Congratulations Millie!
