The workshops, for 6 – 12 year olds, are one week-long.
Each week participants try singing, dancing, and acting with a performance for parents on Fridays at Noon.
These fun focused workshops run from Monday to Friday at 9am – 12:30 at Mark R. Isfeld school. The fee is $75. To register or for more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate your name and contact info, your child’s name and age, and which week (s) your child would like to participate in.
Summer Showcase 2017 will run during the weeks of July 3, 10, 17, and 24th.
Depending on demand, we may also run workshops in August.
RYT is thrilled to announce we have hired 2 very talented instructors for the Summer Showcase 2017.
Jayden has participated in musical theatre in the Comox Valley for the past 14 years. She has been dancing for 9 years in a variety of styles, and for 5 years singing in Voice and Choir, and playing Alto Saxophone. She is a member of the Senior Isfeld Improv Team, where she competes and grows her creative skills. In 2017 she was the proud recipient of the MVP award for the North Island. She has 3 years of experience being an assistant teacher at Pantuso Dance working under Candice Woloshyn with 4-7 year olds. She has also taught two Summer Dance Camps at Pantuso Dance. Last summer she was proud to have instructed this workshop and she looks forward to teaching again this summer and passing on the joy she gets from musical theatre.
Ella started in dance at age 6 and later started performing in plays and musicals at age 10. Since then, performing arts have been a huge part of her life. Over the years, she has acted in over 15 musical productions, 5 plays, practiced 8 styles of dance, and studied voice with Carrie Lemke. She’s dedicated her free time to volunteering backstage for productions and helping out in the arts community. RYT has been a huge part in showing her how incredible musical theatre is and how awesome the people you meet through it are. This is her first time teaching the musical theatre workshops for RYT and she is so excited to get to work with the younger generation of the musical theatre lovers.
